
As part of the ongoing campaign to maintain the sanctity of recruitment and educational examinations in Uttarakhand, Doon Police has taken another major action against the cheating mafia and arrested Ashish Kumar Gupta, Assistant Professor of Shivalik College of Engineering, Jhajhra, on charges of leaking the question paper of the semester examination of Uttarakhand Technological University (UTU).
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami Said that the Uttarakhand government is working on a policy of zero tolerance against those who are playing with the future of the youth. He said that whether it is recruitment examinations or university examinations, any kind of cheating, question paper leak or violating the confidentiality of the examination system will not be spared.
Strict anti-copying law issued
The Chief Minister said that as a result of the strict anti-counterfeiting law implemented in the state and the continuous action being taken, more than 100 counterfeiting mafias and their associates have been arrested so far in various cases. He said that the objective of the state government is to provide a fair and transparent examination system to the hardworking and talented youth of the state and the campaign in this direction will continue with full strictness.
Let us tell you that according to the case registered on the complaint of Examination Controller Dr. Vinay Kumar Patel in Kotwali Premnagar, before the even-semester examination of UTU held on July 8, the accused assistant professor had shared important questions related to the examination with the students through WhatsApp group. After matching the question papers after the completion of the examination, a lot of similarity was found in the shared questions. The internal investigation committee of the university also found in its investigation that similar questions were shared on WhatsApp groups of students and other mediums before the examination.
Police took immediate action
Seeing the seriousness of the case, on the instructions of Senior Superintendent of Police, Dehradun, the police took immediate action, collected evidence and arrested the accused assistant professor. The electronic devices recovered in the case are being investigated and the role of other people associated with this entire network is also being investigated.
