Uttarakhand: Another attack on copying mafia, police arrested the accused

On Thursday, Controller of Examinations Veer Madhav Singh Bhandari, Dr. Vinay Kumar Patel, Uttarakhand Technological University, Dehradun gave a written complaint on Kotwali Premnagar. It was told that the University received an e-mail regarding the examination conducted on date: 08-07-26 during the even-semester examination of Uttarakhand Technological University.

In this, information was given that some important questions were shared through WhatsApp group by the Assistant Professor appointed in Shivalik College of Engineering, Dehradun on 3-7-26, which was compared with the question paper after the completion of the examination and a lot of similarity was found in the said questions. In this regard, during the investigation by the Internal Inquiry Committee constituted by the University, it came to light that the said Assistant Professor was sharing similar questions related to the examination on the internal portal/Whatsapp of the students before the examination.

Assistant Professor Ashish Kumar Gupta, appointed in Shivalik College of Engineering, violated the confidentiality of the examination system of the university with the aim of giving unfair advantage to the students. On the basis of the complaint given by the plaintiff, a case has been registered against Kotwali Premnagar under Section No. 144/26, Section: 316, 318 (4), 61 (2) BNS.

In view of the seriousness of the case, SSP Dehradun, while taking the process of quick collection of evidence in the case, gave necessary guidelines for effective action against the accused named in the case, on which the investigator, on the basis of statements of witnesses in the case, received documents and other evidence, arrested the accused named in the case, Ashish Kumar Gupta, Assistant Professor Shivalik College of Engineering, Jhajhra.

Investigation is being done in relation to the equipment recovered from the accused and necessary action will be taken as per rules after collecting evidence in relation to other accused persons involved in the said case. The names of the arrested people are- 1-Ashish Kumar Gupta, Assistant Professor, Shivalik College of Engineering, Jhajhra native, Shakumbhari Vihar, Saharanpur district, Saharanpur Uttar Pradesh, age 40 years.
