Since the failure of Islamabad peace talks in April last month, America has continued the strict naval blockade against Iran. At present, more than 20 dangerous American warships have been deployed around the ports of Iran. Through this, the ships coming and going to Iran’s ports are to be stopped and a strict vigil is maintained on them.
According to the Central Command (CENTCOM), so far 111 merchant ships have been forced to change their route through this blockade, so that they cannot trade with Iran.
Also, America has clarified that non-Iranian ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz are not being stopped, their movement is going on normally. Although a fragile ceasefire is currently in force in the area, the tension there has not reduced. American forces are engaged in strictly enforcing this blockade through continuous maritime patrolling and war preparations.
