Iran’s supreme leader Mujtaba Khamenei has given a big statement regarding America and Gulf countries. He has said that now the American military bases present in the Gulf countries will not be safe. He says that America will no longer get a safe place in the Middle East like before. Khamenei has given this statement at a time when Iran and America are talking to end the war that has been going on for three months.
Khamenei released this message in written form on his Telegram channel. He described the war against America and Israel as the victory of Islamic resistance. He said that Israel is approaching its worst end. Khamenei said that down with America and down with Israel will remain the slogan of the Islamic world. He also appealed to Muslim countries to unite. Khamenei asked Iranian Hajj pilgrims to convey the message of Iran’s victory to Muslims around the world.
US-Iran talks going on in Doha
Khamenei said that Islamic countries should together create a new regional structure. This statement has come at a time when Iranian officials are holding talks with the US in Doha, the capital of Qatar. Both countries are trying to reach an agreement to end the war. However, both America and Iran have said that no major agreement is expected any time soon.
56-year-old Mujtaba Khamenei was made the supreme leader of Iran on March 8. Since then he has not been seen in public. He is only issuing a written statement. There is a lot of speculation about his health after being injured in the recent attacks.
America attacks in southern Iran
Hours before Khamenei’s statement, the US military had attacked missile bases in southern Iran and boats trying to lay mines in the sea. America says that this action was taken to maintain regional security.
There is a ceasefire between the two countries since April 8, but after the recent attacks, this ceasefire seems to be weakening. During the war, there were also Iran-backed attacks on many American military bases in the Middle East.
