Assembly elections are to be held in Uttar Pradesh early next year. The political temperature is continuously being heated by the ruling party and the opposition. In this exercise, an attempt is being made once again to set the narrative of graveyard versus crematorium in UP before the elections. On the statement related to the cemetery of Minister Ravindra Jaiswal, SP has demanded from the Governor to dismiss the workers.
State government minister Ravindra Jaiswal has once again tried to set the narrative of graveyard versus crematorium on the lines of 2017 by making a controversial statement targeting Akhilesh Yadav. After a program organized in Chandauli, when journalists asked the Minister of State (Independent Charge) Ravindra Jaiswal that Akhilesh Yadav is accusing even big BJP leaders in the case of donation theft, why is he silent on this issue?
‘…funds were not given for cremation then’
On this question, Jaiswal said, “When Akhilesh Yadav was the CM and I was the MLA, then Akhilesh released funds to build boundaries around the cemeteries. On this, I told him that if you are giving funds to the cemeteries, then give funds to the crematorium also. But he did not even release funds for the crematorium.”
He further said, “They are increasing their points in the eyes of those wearing net caps and lungis. Akhilesh Yadav is scratching the wound inflicted on Hindu society by Ayodhya. He said that everyone is worried about temples, why? Where does the money of Church and Jama Masjid go? Why doesn’t Akhilesh Yadav ask these questions?”
Such is the language of a minister: Prabhu Narayan
On this controversial statement of Ravindra Jaiswal, Samajwadi Party MLA from Sakaldiha Prabhu Narayan Yadav gave a strong reaction against the minister. Prabhu Narayan said, ‘Does the language used by this gentleman suggest that any minister can speak like this? Has the minister received similar values? They will speak the language which has been taught to them. These are those people who do not leave even Lord Ram.
SP MLA Ashutosh Sinha said that Ravindra Jaiswal has given a controversial statement against our national president to divert attention from donation theft and divert the issue. Samajwadi Party workers also got enraged after this statement. Many workers also beat the poster of Minister Ravindra Jaiswal with shoes and slippers.
Attempt to divert the case: Vijay
On the entire controversy, senior journalist Vijay Narayan says that Minister Jaiswal’s statement shows that the Minister is trying to divert this entire matter. They are running away from the original question because they have no answer. They are also accepting that theft has taken place. But now they have to divert the matter. Now their agenda is to try to save Champat Rai and divert attention from the Ayodhya issue.
