
Under the guidance of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Food and Logistics Department has worked as a strong protective shield for farmers and poor families. Wheat procurement campaign was conducted on a large scale in the state from Rabi marketing year 2017-18 to 2025-26. A total of 51,70,117 farmers got benefits during this period.
yogi government Rs 45,935.46 crore has been paid to the farmers. To streamline wheat procurement in the state, 5,837 wheat purchasing centers were operated, which is providing convenience to farmers in selling their produce.
Lakhs of farmers benefit from the purchase of crops
Officials of the Food and Logistics Department said that the state has made a big record in the field of paddy procurement. From the year 2017-18 to 2025-26, 80,39,539 farmers were benefited through paddy procurement. In return, Rs 1,03,694.71 crore has been paid to the farmers. Similarly, under the Kharif marketing year 2023-24 and 2025-26, 26,972 farmers have benefited from the purchase of jowar, who were paid Rs 363.35 crore. Whereas 1,48,718 farmers benefited from the purchase of millet and Rs 1,854 crore was paid to them.
Farmers’ trust in government increased
It is clear from these figures that the Yogi government was not limited to only wheat and paddy, but the purchase of other crops was also promoted. The active functioning of the Food and Logistics Department has strengthened the confidence of farmers in the state. Timely payment, expansion of procurement centers and transparent system have proved that the Yogi government is giving top priority to the interests of farmers and the poor.
