Recently, Trinamool councilor Bappaditya Dasgupta got caught in the police net. Bappaditya Dasgupta was the councilor of ward number 101 of Kolkata Municipal Corporation. He is accused of demanding extortion from a shop in Jhilpar area of Patuli. In this case, the police have arrested a total of 7 Trinamool councilors of Kolkata Municipal Corporation on various charges.

- Bappaditya Dasgupta: Ward No. 101, Patuli, Chief Convenor of Trinamool Congress Party, Kolkata Municipal Corporation.
- Biswajit Mandal: Ward No. 114, East Putiyari, Kundghat, has got bail.
- Mohammad Jasimuddin: Ward No. 39, Kalutola, Jorasanko.
Investigation against many councilors
Apart from this, Trinamool councilor of ward number 108 and chairman of borough number 12 Sushant Kumar Ghosh are absconding. Police is searching for them. Let us tell you that after the formation of BJP government in the state, rebellion has started continuously against TMC leaders. Voice has been raised against him in the party and various allegations have been made against him. The charges range from bribery to extortion and he has been arrested under these charges.
Will Firhad Hakim also change sides?
Is Firhad Hakim leaving Mamata Banerjee this time? Firhad reached Ritabrata Banerjee’s office in the Assembly on Monday, which increased the speculation further. Expelled Trinamool MLA Sandipan Saha took him to the house of the leader of the opposition in the assembly.
Since the split between the Trinamool MLAs in the Assembly, various speculations are being made about Firhad. Firhad is a long-time associate of Trinamool supremo Mamata Banerjee.
