In Maharashtra, 6 out of nine MPs from Uddhav Thackeray faction’s Shiv Sena joined Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena on Monday. Rebel MPs held a meeting with Eknath Shinde at his Nandanvan bungalow. After this, the rebel MPs held a press conference with Shinde and announced their change of party. Everyone held each other’s hands and transferred themselves from Shiv Sena UBT to Shiv Sena Shinde.
In the press conference, Eknath Shinde claimed that his fight is to save the ideas of Balasaheb, hence 6 MPs from the Uddhav group decided to join him.
Here from this decision Shiv Sena UBT The groups are very angry. Uddhav Thackeray’s son Aditya Thackeray wrote on social media that the MPs who left the party have proved that their loyalty is for sale.

- Nagesh Patil Ashtikar, MP from Hingoli.
These 6 out of 9 MPs today said bye-bye to Shiv Sena UBT. After the new split among MPs in Shiv Sena, Eknath Shinde’s strength in NDA has increased. Before the split, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s faction had 7 MPs, while 6 MPs from the Uddhav Thackeray faction left with the Shinde faction, now their total strength in the Lok Sabha has increased to 13 MPs.
Earlier, a major split in Shiv Sena had taken place in 2022. Eknath Shinde’s rebellion in 2022 gave the biggest blow to Uddhav Thackeray, when 40 MLAs left him. Now in 2026, the Uddhav group has suffered another setback. Six party MPs left with K Shinde. Eknath Shinde had given its trailer yesterday itself.
Why does Uddhav’s party disintegrate again and again?
MLAs were defeated in the year 2022 and six MPs were defeated in the year 2026. Now the discussion in the political corridor is whether this trend will stop here or is there a danger of it breaking. By the way, the Deputy CM and CM had already hinted at today’s breakdown. Eknath Shinde had said that he never leaves any operation incomplete, while CM Devendra Fadnavis had said that the operation was successful and the body is healthy.
