TVK references removed, scenes cut, dialogues muted… 12 major changes in Thalapathy Vijay’s Jana Nayagan

Jana Nayagan Cuts and Changes: Thalapathy Vijay’s most awaited film ‘Jana Nayakan’ is going to be released in theaters after a long wait. The audience was eagerly waiting for this film. But finally this film has got the certificate from the Censor Board and it has been given the green signal. However, ‘Jana Nayakan’ got this certificate after many changes. The Censor Board ordered many changes in this film, only after which it was approved. It is reported that in this film of Thalapathy Vijay, some dialogues were muted, some scenes were removed and some political references were also changed. In particular, a reference related to Vijay’s party TVK was also removed from the film.

According to reports, the name of Thalapathy Vijay’s character in ‘Jana Nayakan’ is ‘Thalapathy Vetri Kondan’, which has been shortened to TVK. But this reference was removed by the censor board. Also, the dialogue “Ambedkar Sattam… to… TVK Sattam” was changed. The use of TVK in both audio and video was removed in some scenes. In this change the voice was muted and changes were made.

CBFC also instructed the makers that wherever in the film, Dr. BR is shown on the cover of any book. Ambedkar’s picture has been shown, changes should be made in all those scenes. Also, the visuals of the Indian flag falling on the ground in one scene were removed. The words “Bhagavatam” and “Ranganathar” were muted. The words “Thevidiya Paiya” and “Otha” were also muted. At the same time, instead of removing some scenes completely, changes were made in them at visual and audio level.

When will the film be released?

In this film, the visuals of burning children were removed and new ones were replaced in their place. The word “Siluvaila” was muted and wherever the name “Sheela Rani” occurred, it was replaced. After all these cuts and changes, the runtime of the film is now 3 hours and 3 minutes. The Censor Board has given A rating to ‘Jana Nayakan’ and the film is ready to be released in theaters on July 24.
