The issue of alleged theft of donations from devotees in the Ram temple of Ayodhya is in the headlines these days. Many major flaws have come to light during the investigation of the case. Meanwhile, the process of appointment of the CEO who will handle the administrative and managerial arrangements of the temple is going to start from next week. It is being told that the 3-member committee to appoint the CEO will meet in 2-3 days.
According to the information, the committee to appoint the CEO includes retired judge Pramod Kohli, Lieutenant General (retd) Vishnukant Chaturvedi and nuclear scientist Suresh Haware. All of them will meet and discuss this matter.
General Secretary will take the final decision
Nuclear scientist Suresh Kashinath Haware, while talking to TV9 Bharatvarsh, said that it is the prerogative of the General Secretary of the Temple Trust to decide the name of the CEO of Shri Ram Temple. He said that the committee will only decide on a panel of eligible candidates and hand it over to the temple trust.
What should be the specialty
He told that the number of candidates finally selected in the panel will depend on how many people come for interview and how much understanding they have of management and spirituality. Also, what is his attitude towards temple and religion and does he have any experience in managing the temple? He said that it will depend on all these things as to how many names should be sent to the temple trust in the panel of eligible candidates.
Suresh Haware told that there are three most important points in the upcoming meeting of the committee.
- How and when should applications from candidates be invited for the appointment of CEO?
- After three phases, the names of how many people in the final panel should be sent to the Temple Trust?
- What will be the salary and other facilities of the appointed CEO?
Scope and Responsibilities
Along with this, what will be the work area and responsibilities of the CEO is also important. At present it is decided that the appointed CEO will report to the General Secretary of the Temple Trust and the appointed CEO will have to stay in Ayodhya only. The CEO will also get salary, house to live and car.
Suresh Haware said that the appointment process will be done in a completely transparent manner. Anyone, retired or working, can apply for interview. They should just have good knowledge of religion and management. He said that the meeting of the three people included in the committee has not taken place yet and we will hold the meeting soon. He told that the application process will be started after the meeting. How to take the applications will also be decided in the meeting. He told that some qualifications for application can also be decided in the meeting. But whatever name will be shortlisted, the most important qualification will be how much interest they have towards religion and spirituality. Along with this, special attention will also be given to administration, management and financial experience. He told that the work area of the CEO will be to look after the managerial, financial and administrative arrangements of the entire temple.
The list will be handed over to the General Secretary
He told that after receiving the initial applications, shortlisting will be done. After that those names will be considered and the list will be handed over to the General Secretary.
