Tumbbad 2 Shooting Update: Half of the month of June has passed and the entire country is eagerly waiting for the monsoon. But apart from the general public and farmers, there are some people in the entertainment industry too who are keeping their eyes fixed on the sky at this time. We are talking about the makers of the cult classic film ‘Tumbbad’. When ‘Tumbbad’ was released in the year 2018, the continuous torrential rain and mud on the screen gave goosebumps to the audience. To capture this special atmosphere on camera, the makers waited for four monsoons and the film was completed over several years.
Now news is coming that the team of its sequel i.e. ‘Tumbbad 2’ is also preparing to create a similar riot. But this time the twist is that the makers are not just sitting at one place and waiting for the rain, but they themselves are chasing the monsoon in the forests of Maharashtra.
Why are the makers looking for storm?
Actually, this time the mood of monsoon in Maharashtra is a bit strange and unpredictable. In such a situation, the production team of the film has clearly refused to adopt any shortcut route or use artificial rain on the sets. He believes that fake rain can never bring that real and scary feel of ‘Tumbbad’. Also, considering the areas suffering from drought, it is also a big responsibility for them not to waste water. This is the reason that at this time when everyone is just waiting for the rain, the team of ‘Tumbbad 2’ is looking for those areas where the most severe and heavy rains are occurring. For this, the weather forecast (weather patterns) is being regularly monitored and as soon as there is an alert of heavy rain in any remote area, the entire team gathers its gear and runs there.

It is not easy to return to the world of Hastar
According to information received from sources, in order to record the real monsoon, the makers have reached such remote villages of Maharashtra, where there is no vehicle access. It is being told that the actors and crew members have to walk for about two to three hours through dense forests, mud and difficult roads, only then they are able to reach the shooting location. In this story, rain is not just a background, but it itself has become a main character.
Suspense still intact, film will be released on this day
However, Soham Shah and his team have still maintained complete suspense regarding the story of ‘Tumbbad 2’. But this hard work going on behind the scenes clearly shows that the audience is once again going to see some very authentic and hair-raising visuals on the big screen. This time the film is being directed by Aadesh Prasad. Actor-producer Soham Shah will release it on December 3, 2027 under the banner of his company ‘Soham Shah Films’.
