US President Donald Trump has changed the venue of his cabinet meeting due to bad weather. Earlier this meeting was to be held in Camp David, Maryland, but now it will be held in the White House. All members of the cabinet will attend the meeting to be held on Wednesday. According to reports. Former National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard will also be present in the meeting. This meeting is taking place at a time when talks between America and Iran have intensified.
Camp David is a special government complex of America, where meetings are held on major national security and foreign policy decisions. Trump has held 15 important meetings there in his first term. Even in June 2025, he had discussed Iran and Gaza with senior officials there. A few weeks later, America attacked Iran’s nuclear sites.
Iran issue will be discussed
According to a White House official, the situation related to Iran will also be an important part of the meeting. Also, issues related to American economy, small business, task force to prevent government fraud and foreign policy will be discussed.
Trump has been saying for the last few days that progress is being made towards an agreement between America and Iran. But Iranian officials say that no major agreement is expected right now. Recently, America took military action near the Strait of Hormuz, which increased tension in the area. However, efforts to maintain ceasefire between the two countries are also continuing. However, Trump has again said that if talks fail, the option of military action is still open.
Attacks despite ceasefire
Recently, the US Army attacked Iranian ships laying sea mines in the Strait of Hormuz and a missile launcher site near Bandar Abbas. American Central Command i.e. CENTCOM said that this action was taken for the safety of American ships and aircraft.
Meanwhile, talks are continuing between American and Iranian officials in Qatar. In this, issues like resumption of movement of merchant ships through the Strait of Hormuz, relief in sanctions imposed on Iran and further talks on its nuclear program are being discussed.
