A suspected terrorist has been arrested by the FBI for plotting to assassinate Ivanka Trump. According to American media reports, this person was associated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and Iran-backed terrorist networks. It is alleged that he planned to assassinate Ivanka Trump, daughter of US President Donald Trump, to avenge the death of Iranian military commander Qasim Sulemani.
According to the New York Post report, the accused has been identified as 32-year-old Mohammed Baqer Saad Dawood Al-Saadi. An Iraqi citizen, he was arrested in Türkiye and later deported to the US. Investigating agencies claim that he had planned to assassinate Ivanka Trump. He also found a map of Ivanka Trump’s house in Florida. Ivanka lives there with her husband Jared Kushner.

Plan made after Sulemani’s death
It has been reported that Al-Saadi planned to target the Trump family after the American drone attack in Baghdad in 2020. Qasim Sulemani was killed in this attack. Intifadh Kambar, a former deputy military attaché at the Iraqi Embassy in Washington, said that al-Saadi openly talked about revenge. According to him, Al-Saadi used to say that after the death of Suleimani, we should kill Ivanka.
According to investigating agencies, Al-Saadi had also posted a picture on social media platform X of the area of Florida where Ivanka and Jared Kushner have a house worth about $24 million. He had written in Arabic that neither your palace nor the Secret Service will be able to save you. He also said that monitoring and preparations are already going on.
Accused of conspiracy to commit 18 attacks
US officials say that al-Saadi has ties to Kata’ib Hezbollah and the Islamic Revolutionary Guards (IRGC). He is considered to be a major member of the Iraq-Iran terrorist network. The US Justice Department has accused him of 18 attacks and attempted attacks in Europe and America. These include a petrol bomb attack on a bank in Amsterdam, a knife attack on two Jewish people in London and firing near the US Embassy in Toronto.
He is also accused of conspiring to bomb a Jewish place of worship in Belgium and set fire to a temple in Rotterdam. American agencies say that he was also linked to several failed attacks related to the Middle East conflict in America.
had a close relationship with Suleimani
According to the report, Al-Saadi had a very close relationship with Qasim Sulemani. His father, Iranian Brigadier General Ahmed Kazmi, died in 2006. After this he started considering Sulemani like a father. He grew up in Baghdad and was later sent to Tehran for IRGC training.
It was told that later he started a travel agency for religious tours, through which he used to travel to different countries and make contacts with terrorist networks. Currently he is kept in the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York.
