Trijata’s Dream: Ramayana is a sacred Hindu scripture. It describes the life and activities of Lord Shri Ram. Lord Vishnu had incarnated as Shri Ram in Tretayuga and after killing Ravana, re-established religion on earth. The Lankan war has been described in detail in Ramayana. There is a description in Ramayana of a demon who had predicted the destruction of Lanka in advance. The name of that demon was Trijata.
When Mother Sita, wife of Lord Shri Ram, was imprisoned in Ashok Vatika of Lanka. There were many demons to protect them then. Trijata was included among them. Trijata was a wise and old demon. Trijata was a well-wisher of Mother Sita and always worked to protect Mother Janaki. There is Sunderkand in Ramayana, in which it is described in Chapter 27 that Trijata Rakshasi had already anticipated the destruction of Lanka.
Trijata had a dream of destruction of Lanka
One day when Mother Sita was sitting in Ashok Vatika, Trijata told her about a scary dream of hers related to the future of Lanka. Through his dream, he had indicated to Mother Sita that in the war, there would be victory of Shri Ram and defeat of King Ravana of Lanka. There is a quatrain in Sunderkand of Ramayana which tells about the dream of Trijata.

Trijata’s name is Rachhasi Eka. Ram’s feet are full of knowledge.
Sabanhau said, heard such a dream. I will do my best from this place.

This means that there was a demon named Trijata, who was in love at the feet of Shri Ramchandraji. She was very adept in knowledge. He called everyone and told them about his dream and asked them to do good for themselves by serving Sita ji. Trijata said that he had dreamed that Lanka had been burnt by a monkey. The entire army of demons has been killed. Ravana is naked and riding on a donkey. His head has been shaved and all twenty of his arms have been cut off. This dream indicated the defeat of Ravana.
