Today is not mine, but tomorrow it will definitely be mine… Uddhav Thackeray’s pain expressed in the MPs meeting

June 15, 2026 by Uma Shankar

Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) chief Uddhav Thackeray held a meeting with MPs at his Matoshree residence on Sunday. During this time his pain overflowed. Referring to the rebellion in the party and leaders leaving the party, he said that even though today is not their time, the situation will definitely change in the future.

Uddhav Thackeray said in the meeting, “Today is not mine, but tomorrow it will definitely be mine. Till then we will have to endure and struggle.” Taking aim at the leaders who left the party, he said, “Those who have left Balasaheb Thackeray’s Shiv Sena will definitely regret one day, but by then it will be too late.

Referring to the major rebellion in Shiv Sena four years ago, Thackeray said, “There was a big split in the party, 40 MLAs left. I was the Chief Minister of the state at that time. What things everyone knew, didn’t I know? I was aware of it.”

Those who leave the party during times of crisis will have to repent

However, he said that he did not try to stop or pressure anyone. Thackeray said, I did not put pressure on anyone, did not get files prepared against anyone. What is the point of forcibly stopping someone who wants to go? It is true that time is not on our side right now, the circumstances are opposite. But remember, when our time comes back, those who left the party in the lurch during this time of crisis will have to regret their decision a lot.

Only 4 MPs had reached the meeting

Amid talks of a possible split in the party, Uddhav Thackeray’s meeting further increased his worries as only four out of nine Lok Sabha MPs attended it in person. Although senior party leader Sanjay Raut clarified that the remaining five MPs were connected online and insisted that there was no infighting, this absence is being seen in political circles as a sign of a bigger rebellion.
