During the investigation of Ram Temple offering theft case, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) has got another big clue. Investigation has revealed that the arrested accused Ramshankar Yadav alias Tinnu, along with his associates, had created a network of organized extortion in the name of VIP Darshan. It is alleged that this gang used to collect lakhs of rupees from the devotees and the amount collected every day was divided among themselves.
According to sources, with the rapid increase in the number of devotees after the consecration of the Ram temple, this game of illegal extortion in the name of VIP darshan had also started on a large scale. SIT investigation has indicated that not only the arrested accused but also some other temple employees and outsiders may be involved in this network. The investigating agencies are now investigating the role of all these.
abused the system
There are different arrangements for darshan in Ram temple. Ordinary devotees have to stand in long queues for darshan, while the special guests coming under protocol get the facility of darshan in less time through VIP pass. These passes are issued completely free of cost by Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.
According to the SIT, this system was allegedly misused by some people. A huge amount was collected from the devotees by assuring them that they would get quick and easy darshan. Investigation has also revealed that the recovery money was regularly distributed among the gang members. The investigating agencies are now examining financial transactions, mobile call details, bank accounts and other documents related to this alleged racket. Sources say that in the coming days, crackdown may also be tightened on some more employees and outsiders in this matter.
Will Vishwa Hindu Parishad take action against Champat Rai?
Tinnu Yadav is accused of breach of trust in the donation theft case in Ram temple. In such a situation, many serious questions are being raised that who had the responsibility of audit and monitoring here? In this case, SIT also interrogated Champat Rai for several hours. He has personally rejected all the allegations. In this matter, VHP’s International President Alok Kumar said that Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) is not responsible for the theft of donations in Ram temple in Ayodhya. He said that the organization will wait for the investigation of the matter before taking any action against its Vice President Champat Rai.
He said that the looting in the temple is very unfortunate. This has hurt the sentiments of Hindus all over the world. There is no question of making any excuse or defense for this. We all want the police and SIT to investigate very closely every aspect and every person against whom any allegation has been made, no matter who it is.
