She says, “I was in Kullu Manali. Papa was trying to call the hotel, but at that time we did not have mobile phones because I was shooting there with Sunil Shetty. Everyone watching the shooting there was wondering whether it was Shilpa or not, because everyone had come to know the news.” She says that when she returned to the hotel after finishing her day’s work, she received at least 20-25 missed calls. The parents were very worried, because there was news in the newspaper that ‘Shilpa Shirodkar has been shot dead’.

Shilpa Shirodkar later found out the reason behind this entire incident. Actually, the producer of the film had deliberately adopted this method for publicity. This was just a publicity stunt. When the actress came to know this truth, she was more surprised than angry. She says, “When he told me, I said yes, but it was a little too much.” She says, “I didn’t know anything beforehand, I came to know at the end that something like this was going to happen and at that time no one asked in advance. At the moment the film performed well, so I didn’t get too angry.”
