In June 2020, she underwent double eyelid surgery at a cosmetic clinic in Suzhou city, Jiangsu province. For this the woman had spent about 12,000 yuan (about Rs 1.7 lakh). This surgery is common in East Asia, which makes the eyes look bigger and beautiful. But this decision of Wang proved to be the biggest mistake of his life.

Immediately after the operation, Wang started experiencing severe pain and swelling in his eyes. The condition got so bad that his eyelids turned outwards and water started falling from his eyes continuously. When he was hurriedly taken to the hospital, what the doctors told him was shocking. Doctors revealed that the surgery was done so wrongly that the woman’s tear gland was completely damaged. Wang became a victim of depression and insomnia. In 2022, considering his condition, the local administration put him in the grade-9 disability category. Fake clinic and unlicensed doctor
