Fire Boltt, a company that makes wearables like smartwatches and earbuds, is now going to enter the smartphone segment. In a recent report, it has been said that the company will initially focus on customers looking for phones in a budget of less than Rs 20,000. The entry of a new company in the smartphone market with a phone priced below Rs 20,000 is not a new thing, brands like Ai+ and Alcatel also made their debut in India with cheap phones.
What is the company going to bring?
According to the report of Smartprix, Fire Boltt will launch the smartphone under the Bollt branding and will create its own identity. This will also help the company in maintaining a distinct identity from its wearables portfolio. It seems that the company has planned for the long term as the report says that the initial lineup will include two to three smartphones, which will be priced below Rs 20,000.
According to the report, Unisock processor will be used in these smartphones for speed and multitasking. Recently, smartphones like Lava Shark 2 5G (Unisoc T8200) and HMD Vibe 2 (Unisoc T8200) have been launched in the Indian market for less than Rs 20,000. If the report is true, Indian buyers will soon have another smartphone brand to choose from.
To win trust, you will have to focus on these things
Recently, we have seen the return of Acer and Alcatel to the Indian market through licensing partnerships with local companies, while Ai+ (an Indian brand similar to Fire-Boltt) continues to launch aggressive and budget-friendly phones.
In a market where smartphone prices are rising rapidly due to rising component costs, Fire-Boltt will probably focus on providing affordable prices and value for money. But to win the trust of customers, it will be equally important to provide reliable software support and strong after-sales service.
