This is not an accident but a conspiracy… Sanjay Raut alleges EVM burning in Kolkata, makes serious allegations against BJP

Nearly 4000 EVMs were destroyed in a fire in a government building in Kolkata, West Bengal. All kinds of speculations are being made regarding the emergence of this news. Meanwhile, the statement of Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut has come out, he described the incident as serious and alleged that the burning of EVMs is not an accident but a conspiracy. Sanjay Raut claimed that these EVMs were used in the West Bengal Assembly elections. He said that the EVMs which were suspected to be tampered with were burnt to ashes. He raised the question that how can 4000 EVMs burn simultaneously.

‘EVMs were deliberately burnt’

He alleged that the EVMs were not burnt accidentally but deliberately. He accused the BJP government of burning EVMs. He said that the purpose of burning EVMs was to destroy election evidence. He expressed doubt on the results of the West Bengal Assembly elections and claimed that the election results are not acceptable to the public.

‘Evidence was destroyed by burning EVM’

Shiv Sena MP said that Mamata Banerjee could not face such a big defeat and it was not possible to lose from Bhawanipur seat. He said that the incident of EVM burning has further increased the doubt on the election results. He alleged that the evidence of the entire case was destroyed by burning the EVMs.

‘People will answer BJP’

Along with this, Sanjay Raut also raised questions on the role of the Election Commission and the Supreme Court. He demanded investigation and accountability into the matter. He said that people are shocked after seeing this incident and the voice of the public should be heard. While warning BJP, he said that after coming to power, the public will answer to BJP. He said that BJP should worry about its party, because it will not have power in future.

Objection expressed on comparison of PM Modi with Nehru

MP Raut claimed that he objected to the comparison of PM Narendra Modi with Jawaharlal Nehru. He said that merely being in power for a long time does not make a leader great. He said that Nehru was the Prime Minister for more than 16 years and was respected globally. Raut claimed that the entire world bowed before Nehru. He said that Nehru cannot be compared with Modi. He met Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Lal Bahadur Shastri, P.V. Narasimha Rao, Rajiv Gandhi, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and Balasaheb Thackeray were described as great leaders.

‘Same rules do not apply to everyone in the electoral process’

Along with this, Sanjay Raut alleged that as long as Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi rule, fair elections will not be possible. He claimed that the same rules are not being applied to everyone in the electoral process. Raut said that many information were allegedly hidden in Prime Minister Modi’s nomination papers, yet his nomination was accepted.

He also mentioned the acceptance of nominations of other leaders including Smriti Irani. Raut raised the question as to why Meenakshi Natarajan’s Rajya Sabha nomination papers were rejected. He said that the nomination of Meenakshi Natarajan was canceled without any proper reason.

‘BJP is working to break MPs and MLAs’

He alleged that BJP is working to break the MPs and MLAs of opposition parties. He said that BJP is trying to break Trinamool Congress, Shiv Sena and NCP. Raut said that instead of focusing on other important issues of the country, work is being done to weaken the opposition parties. He claimed that anger against the government is increasing in the minds of the public. They
