This is how Indian sailors were evacuated after the attack on MT Marivex in the Strait of Hormuz, know how the operation took place

The Indian cargo ship MT Marivex, which was crossing the Strait of Hormuz near the Oman coast, was attacked by a suspected drone or missile. There were at least 24 Indian sailors on board this ship. After the attack, a massive fire broke out in the engine room and the ship started filling with water, after which an emergency call was sent from the ship. Information about the fire was given through the social media handle of Forward Siemens Union of India at 2.19 pm Indian time. A request was made from the account to save 24 sailors.

Soon after this the Indian Embassy in Oman became active. The embassy first collected detailed information of all the sailors. For this, contact was made through phone number. The Indian Embassy in Oman posted information that Oman authorities have been informed in this regard. Help is arriving soon. The Indian Embassy in Oman continued to issue updates in this matter. After which Oman Navy evacuated all the Indian citizens safely from the ship.

How were the sailors saved from Hormuz?

A video was posted from the social media handle of FSUI India, in which sailors are being rescued by helicopter. These sailors have been taken to safe places far away from the ship. No official information has been given as to where the sailors have been taken. But according to reports all the sailors are safe.

Situation is being monitored

The Ministry is continuously monitoring the situation to ensure the safety of seafarers. In this matter, coordination is being done with the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, Indian missions abroad, Indian Navy and Defense Ministry. At present, the causes of the fire and the damage caused to the ship are being assessed. Officials say that as new information is received, it will be shared.
