
The country’s biggest medical entrance examination NEET-UG 2026 concluded on Sunday (June 21). This time more than 22 lakh students appeared in the examination. Strict security arrangements were made to ensure that the examination was conducted without any irregularities. Meanwhile, a video had gone viral in which it was being claimed that the paper had been leaked. Now the statement of National Testing Agency (NTA) has come out on this matter.
NTA on Sunday termed as fake the content of a video going viral on social media, in which it was claimed that the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET)-Graduation (UG) 2026 paper was leaked. The agency issued a statement on social media saying that the examination was conducted successfully amid elaborate security and surveillance arrangements.
Video went viral on social media
Actually, a video is being shared on social media in which it is claimed that the question paper of NEET (UG) 2026 re-examination was leaked on Telegram even before the examination. After this video surfaced, there was a stir and questions started being raised once again.

NTA called the video fake
NTA said in the statement that a fabricated video is being circulated on social media regarding NEET (UG) re-examination. The agency urged the public not to trust such material and not to share it. The statement said, ‘NTA’s attention has been drawn to a fabricated video being spread on social media about NEET-UG 2026.
NTA said that this video is fake and the claims made in it are wrong.

The agency said that creating and deliberately disseminating such misleading information to deceive students or create fear among them is a serious crime. The agency said, ‘NTA, with the help of I4C and law enforcement agencies, is taking action against those responsible for launching this content.
NTA appeals to students and parents
Along with this, NTA appealed to the students, parents and general public to rely only on the official website http://neet.nta.nic.in and the verified social media handles of the agency for information and not to forward such content. NTA said that a calm and fair process is necessary for our more than 20 lakh candidates.
More than 20 lakh candidates took the exam
More than 20 lakh candidates appeared for the re-examination of NEET held on Sunday. Earlier on May 3, the exam was canceled due to paper leak. Due to which there was a lot of uproar across the country. There was a lot of politics on this issue and demands were made for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. National Testing Agency (NTA), which is facing criticism after the paper leak, Director General Abhishek Singh said that a whole-of-government approach helped in completing this huge task in record time.
