The population of Curaçao is 158000.

Curaçao has become the smallest country to qualify for the FIFA World Cup. Earlier this record was in the name of Iceland. Curaçao has been placed in Group E in the FIFA World Cup 2026. Apart from that, there are teams from Germany, Ivory Coast and Ecuador in this group. Now the question is how did Curaçao qualify for the FIFA World Cup? This small country achieved this success while remaining undefeated in the CONCACAF qualifying tournament.

These 3 countries will also debut

Apart from Curaçao, Jordan, Uzbekistan and Cape Verde are the other three countries who will be seen debuting in the FIFA World Cup 2026. Jordan has got a place in Group J of the FIFA World Cup 2026, which has the teams of Argentina, Australia and Algeria. Apart from this, Uzbekistan has been placed in Group K along with Portugal, Colombia and Dr. Congo. Cape Verde is in Group H, which includes Spain, Uruguay and Saudi Arabia.

Jordan got the ticket to play FIFA World Cup for the first time by finishing second after South Korea in the AFC qualifiers. Uzbekistan obtained the license to play in the FIFA World Cup 2026 by reaching the final of the qualification match held in North America. Cape Verde had won the ticket to play in the FIFA World Cup 2026 in October last year. It will be the second least populous country to play in the FIFA World Cup 2026.
