This actor worked in a Bollywood film, then went on the path of terrorism, killed in an encounter

Haider Actor Saqib Bilal Sheikh: Often you must have seen or heard that when many actors working in Bollywood do not get the expected opportunities in the industry, they gradually move away from the film world. Some start their own business, while others choose another job or profession. But a case also came to light which surprised everyone. A man, who had worked in Shahid Kapoor’s film ‘Haider’, later embarked on a path that completely changed his life. This person was Saqib Bilal Shaikh.

Teenager Saqib Bilal Sheikh was seen in Shahid Kapoor’s film ‘Haider’ released in 2014. But after this film, he did not appear in any movie, because he had embarked on the path of terrorism. In 2018, Saqib died in an encounter with security forces in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. According to reports, he had joined the terrorist organization.

Had a small role in Haider

According to reports, Saqib Bilal Sheikh played a small role in the film ‘Haider’ under the direction of Vishal Bhardwaj, released in 2014. After this film he stayed away from limelight. After this, not much information was revealed about him, but after a few years his name appeared in the reports of security agencies. It is said that Saqib later joined the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba.

Saqib died in encounter

According to media reports, Saqib Bilal Shaikh was also among the three terrorists killed in an encounter in Muzgund on the outskirts of Srinagar in December 2018. He had gone missing from home in August that year along with his 14-year-old friend Mudassir Rashid Pare. Mudassir was also killed in this encounter. After this incident, his name once again came into discussion and people remembered that he had once been a part of the Bollywood film ‘Haider’.

The role was of 15 seconds

According to reports, on August 31, Saqib’s mother had asked him to bring meat from the nearby market, but he did not return home. Later his family came to know that he had joined a terrorist organization. Before taking up arms, Saqib was also seen in Shahid’s ‘Haider’, in which his role was only for 15 seconds. In Saqib Bilal Shaikh’s ‘Haider’, Amar Singh was seen in a college scene, in which a bomb blast takes place and only his character survives.

Saqib had also been a theater artist

Apart from acting in ‘Haider’, Saqib was also a theater artist and had participated in many local stage productions. According to his uncle Ejaz, one of his plays was also shown in Srinagar and Odisha and his acting was highly appreciated. The family said that they had no idea why Saqib decided to join the terrorist organization.
