TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee’s nephew Abhishek was attacked in Sonapur on Saturday. Abhishek alleges that this attack was carried out by BJP people. He said, they (the attackers) wanted to kill me. The entire incident has been captured on camera, we will go to the High Court regarding this. We will also inform the Governor about this. I will definitely go to court. All this is BJP-sponsored. Look what they have done, it is an example of their democracy. Not even a month has passed and the police are nowhere to be seen.
When he was talking to the media, he said that somehow my head was saved. Luckily, I was wearing a helmet. They have torn my clothes and broken my glasses. Banerjee told that there was no policeman at the spot, they want to kill us. Let them do this, my dead body can be found from here, but I will not leave this area. He further said, “I will not leave Sanju’s elderly parents in this condition until more forces arrive. I will once again ask my representatives to contact the police.”
