Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has hit back at Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav’s statement about making Ayodhya a religious city. Chief Minister Yogi said that SP is raising its voice on Ayodhya and is maintaining silence on Mathura. In fact, the SP President speaks only where he sees a vote bank. Where the truth has to be spoken, they remain silent. This is the biggest principle of SP’s politics.
Chief Minister Yogi said that the question is why the silence on the issue of Shri Krishna birthplace of Mathura? Is this silence due to principles, or the compulsion of the vote bank? The ‘selective pain’ of the SP President can be understood very well. This is the real face of appeasement politics. He said that SP will be wiped out in the 2027 assembly elections. Because the public will once again form the BJP government. He advised Akhilesh Yadav to have darshan of Ram Lalla and said that doing so will give him wisdom.
What kind of religious city will Akhilesh build?
CM Yogi said, “Yesterday I was reading a statement of SP President Akhilesh Yadav. He was claiming that if his government comes to power, he will make Ayodhya a religious city.” The Chief Minister hit back and said, “What kind of religious city will you build? It was during your own SP government that orders were given to open fire on Ram devotees. Today, when Ayodhya is reminding the glory of Treta Yug, you are suddenly taking interest in it. Now talk about Mathura.”
CM Yogi challenged SP chief
Challenging Akhilesh, Yogi said, “If you really want to present yourself as a religious person, then speak openly about Mathura-Vrindavan. The birthplace of Lord Krishna also deserves respect. You do not have the courage; apart from bowing before the Mullahs and Maulvis, you have no agenda for the development of the state or to maintain the identity of Ayodhya, Mathura and Kashi.”
