
Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has said that about 80 percent work of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project has been completed. The first operational section of this ambitious project will be between Surat to Bilimora, which is planned to start in 2027. He said that work on India’s first bullet train project is going on at a fast pace and the remaining parts will also be started in a phased manner.
Surat-Bilimora section will start in 2027
Speaking to ANI, Ashwini Vaishnav said that the Bullet Train project is progressing rapidly. First of all, Surat-Bilimora section will be started in 2027. After this, other parts will also be commissioned one by one.
The entire project will start in phases
According to the Railway Minister, the Bullet Train project will be started in several phases. Surat-Bilimora section will start first. After this, Vapi-Surat, then Vapi-Ahmedabad, then Ahmedabad-Thane and finally Ahmedabad-Mumbai section will be commissioned. He said that this project will be a historic achievement for the country and the long wait of the people is now going to be fulfilled.
Many new plans of Railways for Ahmedabad
Along with giving information about the progress of Bullet Train, the Railway Minister also announced many new schemes related to the railway infrastructure of Ahmedabad. He told that a new master plan has been prepared for Asarwa Railway Station. This station will be developed as a large railway terminal equipped with modern facilities, which will provide better facilities to the passengers of Ahmedabad and surrounding areas.
Ahmedabad station will get a second entrance
Vaishnav told that there is a plan to build a second entry gate from Saraspur side at Ahmedabad Railway Station. This will make the movement of passengers easier and the surrounding area will also develop. He said that the work of making Ahmedabad Railway Station a world class station is going on at a fast pace. At the same time, a new master plan has been prepared to improve the road reaching Sabarmati Railway Station.
Om Nagar underpass will be completed before Navratri
The Railway Minister said that a decision regarding Om Nagar underpass has also been taken in the meeting with public representatives and party workers of Ahmedabad. Officials have been instructed to complete the remaining work before Navratri this year.
Big achievement in semiconductor sector too
Ashwini Vaishnav said that India is also progressing rapidly in the field of semiconductor manufacturing. He told that Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the country’s third semiconductor plant in Anand on July 4. Earlier, the first plant was started on 28 February and the second on 31 March. According to him, this is a big step towards making India self-reliant in the field of semiconductor manufacturing.
