
Firozabad: There was panic among the railway administration and security agencies after the incident of stone pelting on a coach of Shatabdi Express going from Lucknow to New Delhi came to light on Thursday evening. The special thing was that the glass of the coach was broken. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat was traveling in the same vehicle. However, he or other passengers did not suffer any injury in the incident.
According to sources, when the train was passing between Makhanpur and Firozabad railway stations, some unknown person threw a stone from outside. The stone hit the executive class coach E-1 of the train, breaking the window glass. When this incident happened suddenly, there was a situation of commotion among the passengers for some time. Mohan Bhagwat was also present in the same coach, but he remained completely safe as he was sitting on the other side of the window seat. The train staff immediately assessed the situation and informed the security agencies.

Sangh chief was not taken down from the train
Seeing the seriousness of the incident, Railway Protection Force (RPF), Government Railway Police (GRP) and local administration officials came into alert mode at Tundla Junction. As soon as the train reached the station, security arrangements were further tightened. The officials reached inside the coach, took stock of the situation and talked about the condition of the Sangh chief.
Due to security reasons, Mohan Bhagwat was not taken down from the train. After completing the necessary checks and formalities, the train was sent to New Delhi a little later than the scheduled time. After the incident, joint teams of RPF and GRP have started investigation operation around the concerned railway section. Information is being collected about suspicious activities in the surrounding areas. Besides, people present along the railway track and possible eyewitnesses are also being interrogated.
Officials say that every aspect of the case is being investigated. The help of available technical and local evidence is being taken to identify the person or persons who pelted the stones. Further legal action will be taken after the investigation is completed.
