
The scope of investigation into the Ayodhya Ram temple offering theft case is increasing. Now its flame has reached Lucknow. Investigating agencies are busy collecting details of the properties of the accused and 54 of their family members. Records of land, house, flat, shop and other properties purchased in the last 2 years have been sought from Lucknow Municipal Corporation, Lucknow Development Authority (LDA), Housing Development Council, Stamp Department and Revenue Department.
According to the information, properties of the accused are being investigated in many districts including Gonda, Basti, Sultanpur, Pratapgarh and Lucknow. Ayodhya Police has asked for documents of land and properties from the DM of the districts. The properties of the accused and 54 of their family members are under investigation. Complete information has been sought from the officials about properties in urban areas as well as agricultural land purchased in rural areas.
Inspection of houses, plots and shops
According to the information, under the letter issued by Additional District Magistrate Administration Pradeep Verma regarding the investigation of properties, apart from houses, plots and shops, agricultural lands are being investigated. For this, a letter has also been sent to all the Sub-District Magistrates and Assistant Inspector General Stamp I and II of the district.
Process of collecting records started
This investigation is being conducted in the city on the basis of the letter from the SSP of Ayodhya. After receiving the letter, Lucknow administration has started the process of collecting records by activating various departments. A detailed report will be prepared by collecting the information received from all the departments, which will be sent to the concerned agencies for further investigation.
Suspicion of buying benami properties
Ayodhya Police suspects that the accused may have purchased benami properties in Lucknow with the money received from theft of offerings. Officials say that as soon as the details of the properties are received, their validity will also be examined. At present, reports are awaited from all three departments at the administrative level. Further action will be taken only after receiving the report.
