Today this sentence resonates in every state of the country. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav says that his government is also working on the same ‘double engine’ dosage. Inspired by the spirit of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, this effort of the double engine government is making MP self-reliant and is taking it firmly towards PM Narendra Modi’s goal of Developed India-2047.

While the state has received investment proposals worth thousands of crores of rupees through the Global Investors Summit and several regional conferences, the rapid development of industrial corridors like Delhi-Nagpur, Atal Pragati Expressway, Narmada Expressway and Indore-Pithampur has given a booster dose to investment in Madhya Pradesh.
Narmada Pragati Path in Madhya Pradesh
More than 500 square kilometers of industrial land bank, reliable power supply and water resources are being made available to investors in the state. With the construction of Narmada Pragati Path, Vindhya Expressway, Malwa-Nimar Expressway, Atal Pragati Path, Bundelkhand Vikas Path, Madhya Bharat Expressway in Madhya Pradesh, connectivity in the state is gaining momentum due to which the interest of investors towards MP is increasing. Madhya Pradesh is also receiving big investment proposals from countries like Dubai and Spain.
MP Tech Growth Conclave and Startup Summit 2026 have given a new boost to Madhya Pradesh in areas like technology and innovation. Emphasizing on AI-based governance and solar energy, the Chief Minister also branded Madhya Pradesh on the global stage in Davos, which has attracted global investors towards MP. The economy of Madhya Pradesh is continuously strengthening. The state’s GDP growth rate has averaged around 9-11% in recent years, which is better than many states. According to the data of 2025-26, GSDP is estimated to reach approximately Rs 18.48 lakh crore.
Performance of many central schemes improved
Madhya Pradesh is getting the benefits of many schemes of Modi government like Make in India, Self-reliant India. New units are being established in textile, pharmaceuticals, electronics and agritech sectors, creating lakhs of jobs. More than 4.69 crore accounts were opened in Madhya Pradesh under PM Jan Dhan Yojana, which has strengthened financial inclusion through DBT.
Similarly, through the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, more than 89 lakh connections were provided in Madhya Pradesh, which freed women from the smoke of cooking gas. The Jal Jeevan Mission of the Central Modi government has also fulfilled the resolve of providing tap water to every house in Madhya Pradesh, which has directly benefited 1 crore 11 lakh families of the state.
PM Mudra Yojana, PM Swanidhi Yojana
Lakhs of entrepreneurs of the state are getting financial support through Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana. While loans were distributed to 32.41 lakh beneficiaries under this scheme in Madhya Pradesh in the financial year 2025-26, this figure has reached 4.82 lakh in the financial year 2022-27. PM Swanidhi Yojana also became a big support for small traders. Through this scheme, loans worth Rs 2679.49 crore have been distributed in 15.87 lakh cases of the state.
Modi government’s PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, Prime Minister Agricultural Irrigation Schemes and Mohan government’s Chief Minister Farmer Welfare Schemes have played an important role in increasing the income of farmers. On one hand, farmers are being empowered through digital agricultural services in the state, on the other hand, farmers are getting real time information about weather, market prices, disease pest management and drone spray. Efforts to promote cowsheds, doubling milk production and expansion of agro-processing units are strengthening the backbone of the state’s economy.
Better work in education and health sector also
The efforts of the state government along with Ayushman Bharat, PM Jan Man and education related schemes of Modi government have given a new direction to the health and education sector. Better services are continuously increasing in MP. While the Bhoomi Pujan of the first Medicity and Medical College has been done in Ujjain, services like PM Shri Ambulance have brought dawn in the lives of many patients.
Similarly, there has been an increase of 5500 MBBS seats and 2862 postgraduate seats in the state. With the approval of 3 new hospitals in Maihar, Mauganj, Pandhurna, the public is getting better health services. Mohan government is committed to better health services. MP has today joined the top states of the country in the HVP vaccination campaign to prevent serious diseases like cervical cancer and provide a secure future.
Expansion of air services in the state
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the state government has started massive expansion of air services to take religious tourism to new heights. Prime Minister (PMShri) Tourism Air Service and PMShri Religious Tourism Heli Service were launched in March 2024, which are based on Public Private Partnership (PPP) model. This scheme connects eight major cities like Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Ujjain, Rewa, Singrauli and Khajuraho. This expansion is not only increasing the convenience of pilgrims but also giving impetus to the local economy. Madhya Pradesh of Mohan’s era is now writing a new chapter of ‘pilgrimage by sky’, which is a unique confluence of faith and modernity.
End of Naxalism in Madhya Pradesh
Under the leadership of Dr. Mohan Yadav, Madhya Pradesh has freed the state from Naxalism even before the deadline set by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. The police officers in the affected areas including Balaghat have made this campaign successful through intensive efforts. This achievement not only shows the strength of law and order, but is also laying the foundation for peace and prosperity in rural areas.
Development of poor, youth, farmers and women
Madhya Pradesh has topped the country in implementing the new education policy, increasing the gross registration rate and in the mineral sector. Special schemes for women like Chief Minister Ladli Brahmin Yojana, encouragement to self-help groups and entrepreneurship programs are working to connect women with the mainstream of society in the state. The leadership of Dr. Mohan Yadav has emerged as a role model in the field of women empowerment.
In women empowerment, schemes like Ladli Brahmin Yojana and Mahila Swavalamban Mission are setting an example of self-reliance. During Mohan’s tenure, the monthly assistance under Ladli Brahmin Scheme has been increased from Rs 1250 to Rs 1500. 35 percent reservation for women in government recruitment, Lakhpati Didi Mission has worked to bring women into the mainstream of society today.
