After the introduction of this feature, the message will automatically disappear after viewing once, this feature is currently in development and this feature can be introduced soon.
According to WabetaInfo, a site that monitors WhatsApp development, this feature has been hinted at in the beta versions for both Android and iOS. However, this feature is not available for testing yet. It has been mentioned in the report that the company wants to give better control to the users while sharing sensitive information.
How will this new feature work?
According to reports, if users long press the send button after typing the message, this feature will be activated and you will see the Send as View Once option, through which the text can be sent in such a format that the person receiving the message will be able to read the message only once.
Once viewed, the message will disappear and cannot be viewed again. The way the View Once feature works in photos and videos, in the same way the person receiving the message will neither be able to copy the message, nor will he be able to forward the message, nor will he be able to share the message. Screenshots and screen recording can also be restricted to reduce the possibility of messages being saved. This feature will work in both personal and group chats, although the possibility of this feature being available in channels is less. At present the company has not confirmed any information about this feature.
