The medicine which cost 85,000 rupees in America, cost only 35 rupees in India! American woman said- ‘We are being robbed’

India’s affordable health services and medicines are discussed all over the world. Video of an American woman living in India recently social media But it is rapidly going viral, which has exposed a shocking difference between the healthcare systems of the two countries. This woman claims that the same medicine which empties people’s pockets in America is available in India at a very nominal price.

What is the whole matter?

An American woman named Liz living in India took to Instagram to comment on Indian vs American healthcare (Indian vs American Healthcare) shared a video titled. In this video, he told how American citizens have to pay huge prices for essential medicines, whereas India is providing health services to its people at very affordable rates.

Price of one pill: Rs 85,000 in America, Rs 35 in India

Giving the example of her aunt, Liz said that she has blood cancer, for the treatment of which she has to take a medicine called Revlimid. When Liz compared the price of this medicine in both the countries, the figures were shocking. The price of just one pill of Revlimid is 900 dollars i.e. about 85,000 rupees. In India, the generic alternative of this medicine is available for just 30 cents to 3 dollars i.e. around Rs 35 to Rs 300. Liz said angrily, we are being openly looted in America, while India is providing affordable and accessible health services to its citizens.

People’s reactions on social media

This video has been viewed more than 7 lakh 70 thousand times so far and people are commenting heavily on it. One user wrote, this is very unfortunate but true. The American government should think about its citizens. Praising India, another user wrote, even cancer treatment is free in government hospitals of India. While giving a funny but accurate advice, a user said, American patients should come to India. They will come here and get treatment, even travel for 10-15 days and still their money will be saved. ‘The American healthcare system is a scam’

Liz is not the only one troubled by America’s expensive medicines. Last month, another American woman named Victoria had also termed the American health system as a ‘scam’. Victoria’s insurance company had refused to bear the cost of her essential medicines, after which she had to pay a bill of $ 1,000 in America. But when he ordered the same medicine directly from an Indian manufacturer, he got it for just 25 dollars i.e. about Rs 2,400.
