Gaza has been reduced to a pile of rubble after more than two years of war, yet Gazans are struggling to rebuild their lives and living in tents in the scorching heat. Even though there is a ceasefire in Gaza for the world, Israel is carrying out intermittent attacks here every day. According to the Gaza Government Media Office, from October 10, 2025 to the end of May 2026, Israel has violated the ceasefire more than 3 thousand times. These include air strikes, artillery shelling, direct shooting, raids in residential areas etc. Attacks have occurred almost daily for several days. One such attack turned the happiness of a family in Gaza into mourning.
A Palestinian man was killed in an Israeli attack on Gaza’s Khan Younis on Saturday, hours before he was to celebrate his wedding, according to the Palestinian Health Department and local sources. Preparations were being made for Mohammad Othman’s wedding in the tented house, when Israel struck there and created havoc. Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that Mohammad Othman Farwana was martyred when Israeli occupation forces targeted a tent in the city. This attack happened shortly before his wedding.

Israeli army is attacking daily
According to local sources, several attacks were carried out on Khan Younis in the early morning, which included attacks by Israeli quadcopter drones, firing from tanks, artillery shelling and use of smoke bombs. This latest attack has come when despite the ceasefire that came into force on October 11 last year, there are continuous violations by Israel throughout the Gaza Strip. Palestinian sources say that the Israeli army is carrying out attacks in this area almost daily.
5 Palestinians killed, 49 injured in 48 hours
The Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza said that the bodies of five martyrs and 49 injured people have been brought to hospitals in the Strip in the last 48 hours. The dead included two Palestinians killed in the new attacks, a man who succumbed to earlier injuries and a body pulled from under the debris. The ministry also said that many victims are still trapped under the debris and on roads where rescue teams are unable to reach, as ambulances and civil defense personnel continue to face difficulties in reaching them.
