Abhimanyu Singh On Kinnar Role: Abhimanyu Singh, who entered the film world with the film ‘Aks’ with Amitabh Bachchan, has shown his acting skills in many films. He became a dreaded villain in films like Gulaal, Rakch Charitra and Suryavanshi. Recently, he made everyone his fan with the role of transgender villain Devikant Trivedi in the second season of Randeep Hooda starrer web series ‘Inspector Avinash’. But very few people know that when Abhimanyu Singh was offered this role, he was hesitant in doing it. One day Manoj Bajpayee came to his house and bluntly said that if you cannot do challenging roles then what kind of actor are you? After listening to Manoj Bajpayee, Abhimanyu said yes to the film.
Abhimanyu Singh Recently he gave an interview to Hindi Rush, in which he told a lot about his life and filmography. During this time, he also talked about becoming a ‘Kinnar’ villain. Abhimanyu says, “Neeraj Pathak, who is its director, kept pursuing me for a long time. I kept telling him that I would not be able to do it. But somehow it had settled in his mind that only Abhimanyu would do this role. He kept pursuing. There were 12 days left for the shooting and then he told me, ‘Brother, do it now. Now at least say yes. I did not say yes, but I was trying to convince myself to do it, because I had been waiting for one and a half months. I was telling him, Sir, please give me some time.
Said yes on Manoj Bajpayee’s request
Abhimanyu told that one day Manoj Bajpayee Had come to his house and he himself asked me to do this role. He says, “We were sitting. He said, there are 12 days left, do it now. Luckily, that day Manoj Bajpayee had come to the house. We were sitting with him. He asked whose call it was? What are you not doing? I said, this is the role of a eunuch.” On this Manoj Bajpai asked Abhimanyu why are you not doing it? To this he replied that he did not feel like doing it. On this Manoj said, “As an actor, you are scared of taking this challenge. This is a very challenging role. You do not want to break yourself.” When Abhimanyu said yes, Manoj replied, “Then what kind of actor are you? Break yourself. Take this challenge. See how much fun it is.”

I started sweating after seeing the saree
Following Manoj Bajpayee’s advice, Abhimanyu agreed to work in the series. He said that initially I thought that it would happen. But I could not understand how it would happen. Chamkegi had gone to the set only four days ago. He told that the director had kept all the real eunuchs in his gang. After this he met the eunuchs. He kept roaming on the set for three days but Abhimanyu told that he did not know how he would do it. He told that when the costume guy came in front of me with saree and petticoat, my hands and legs swelled and started sweating, even though it was cold weather. He told that when he got ready and looked at himself in the mirror, I felt that it was not me and something happened. After this he gave his shot.
