The country got its first greenfield refinery, PM Modi said – did not let the energy crisis come.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Pachpadra in Balotra district of Rajasthan on 4th July i.e. Saturday. Here CM Bhajanlal Sharma welcomed him. During this, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, Union Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat along with many other public representatives and officials were present with him.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the country’s first greenfield integrated refinery-cum-petrochemical project at Pachpadra in Balotra district. Apart from this, he inaugurated, inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of development projects worth about Rs 1.06 lakh crore related to different areas including Rajasthan.

This greenfield refinery for Rs 79,459 crore

The HPCL Rajasthan Refinery Limited (HRRL) project at Pachpadra was developed at a cost of approximately Rs 79,459 crore. This is the country’s first greenfield integrated refinery and petrochemical complex. Its capacity is to refine 90 lakh metric tons of crude oil every year. This project is expected to give new impetus to industrial investment, employment and petrochemical industry in Rajasthan.

PM Modi said- Rajasthan will get a new identity in the energy sector

While inaugurating the Greenfield Integrated Refinery-cum-Petrochemical Project, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that ‘this refinery will prove to be a milestone in the industrial development of Western Rajasthan. Besides, it will give the state a new identity in the field of energy. He said that our government not only lays the foundation stone of the project, but also completes the projects and dedicates them to the public.

PM Modi praised the engineers and employees of the refinery

Referring to the accident that occurred before the proposed inauguration program in April, the Prime Minister praised the engineers and employees. He ‘said that the accident was big, but the engineers and technical team repaired it in a short time and proved that if the morale is high then no challenge is too big.’

While congratulating the youth of the state, he said that ‘this refinery will create new opportunities for employment and industrial development and will give new flight to the dreams of thousands of youth in the coming years.’ He also praised the new airport terminal building of Jodhpur and said that ‘its modern form will give a new impetus to tourism, trade and industry in Marwar.’ He also mentioned about the expansion of UDAN scheme, Jaipur Metro Phase-2, various road, railway and energy projects and handing over appointment letters to the youth selected in government services.

Steps should be taken before the fuel crisis – PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Modi said that ‘India has today become the country with the fourth largest refining capacity in the world. Referring to the global energy crisis caused by tensions in West Asia, he said that the fuel crisis deepened in many countries of the world, but India did not let the problem arise by taking timely steps regarding it. Despite the increase in the prices of crude oil in the international market, the central government did not allow additional burden on the general public by reducing the excise duty.

Taking aim at the opposition, the Prime Minister said that ‘at the time of crisis, some people tried to create an atmosphere of confusion and fear among the public by spreading rumours, but the countrymen did not believe them. He said that the government ensured the energy security of the country in every situation and did not let the public face any major crisis.
