One of these players scored a half-century in his very first match. Netherlands captain Babetta De Lida scored a half-century against Bangladesh in her World Cup debut match.

However, they gave a good fight to Bangladesh in the entire match. The reason for this was 26-year-old captain De Lida, who, batting first, played the biggest innings for her team and contributed in taking Netherlands to 139 runs.

Babetta De Lida, who came third in the batting order, took charge in the second over itself and remained at the crease till the 17th over. Although, like most of the Netherlands batsmen, she too could not score runs quickly, but by staying at the crease, she made small and important partnerships, on the basis of which Netherlands could reach a competitive score.

During this, Delida also completed his half-century in 45 balls, which was his first in the World Cup and 8th in his T20 career. However, she could not take her innings forward and finish quickly as she was run out in the 17th over at the score of 50 runs. But with this innings he made a special achievement to his name. Let us tell you that De Lida’s cousin Bas De Lida is the star all-rounder of the Netherlands men’s cricket team and in the same year he also scored his first half-century in the T20 World Cup.

Bangladesh won

Talking about the match, on the basis of De Lida’s innings, Netherlands made a competitive score but it was not enough to win. The reason for this was 20-year-old Bangladeshi opener Zuaria Firdaus, who was playing her first match in the T20 World Cup and while opening, she scored 50 runs in just 33 balls. Bangladesh achieved the target in 19.1 overs and won by 6 wickets.
