President of Ghana paid tribute
Along with this, regional and international incidents, ceasefire in Hormuz Strait, Lebanon and ongoing talks were discussed. Also, Iran’s Embassy in Ghana recalled and paid tribute to the meeting between then Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama and Khamenei in Tehran in 2016. “He did not talk about oil deals or trade agreements,” the embassy said in a post on Twitter. “Instead, they talked about what was happening in Africa.”
The embassy said Khamenei’s argument was that “extremism does not originate from within the country. Those who promote it are linked to Western countries and the Zionist regime.” He believed that “the solution is not to become more dependent on the same people, but to connect independent countries.” The post further said that Khamenei saw Africa “not just as a problem or market to be managed, but as a place of respectable countries that deserve to stand on their own feet.”
