In the year 2008, a show named ‘Jai Shri Krishna’ came on Colors TV. Dhriti Bhatia played the role of Lord Shri Krishna in this show. By playing Kanha, Dhriti not only earned a lot of popularity from this show, people also gave a lot of love to other characters of this show. In this, the character of Lord Krishna’s maternal uncle Kansa was also shown. This character was played by actor Raj Premi. He became famous through the role of Kansa Mama. Raj Premi is a big actor of TV and films. He is famous for playing negative roles on screen. Raj wanted to become an actor from the beginning. When he was studying in college, Ramanand Sagar gave him a chance in his show ‘Shri Krishna’. In this show of the year 1993, he was seen in the role of Shishupal, the aunt’s son of Lord Shri Krishna.

However, now he has been working in Bhojpuri cinema away from Bollywood and Hindi television for a long time. He has done films like ‘Ishq Bada Bedardi Hai’, ‘Saiyan Superstar’, ‘Moksh to Maya’ in Bhojpuri.

His last Bhojpuri film was ‘Rang De Basanti’ released in the year 2024, in which he was seen with Khesari Lal Yadav. Even though he is now completely active in Bhojpuri. However, only in the year 2024, he was seen in a Telugu film named Samudrudu. In 2025, he was also seen in Ayushmann Khurrana’s film ‘Thama’. Some time ago, he was also seen in a Hindi movie named ‘Kaun Sahi’. That means, even though the Raj lovers are away from the limelight, they are being constantly projected. However, he is doing most of his work in Bhojpuri only.
