Peddi Actor Shiva Rajkumar Cancer: Kannada actor Shiva Rajkumar is playing an important role in Ram Charan’s film ‘Peddi’. But few people would know that at one time he had almost left this film. In fact, shortly after Shiv Rajkumar had signed the film, he came to know that he was suffering from a serious disease like cancer. After this, he was going to America for treatment and because of this he wanted to leave the film. But the director of the film clearly said that he would make the film with him only and he waited for Shiva. Shiv Rajkumar revealed this during the promotional event of the film in Chennai.
During the event, Shiv told that before being diagnosed with cancer, he had said yes to doing a film in the year 2024. He told that director Buchi Babu Sana narrated the story to him. On the same day Shiva also talked to Ram Charan. But when he came to know about his cancer, everything suddenly changed. He says, “He just wanted to do this film with me. And when Buchi Babu narrated the story to me, I liked the subject very much. I did it the same day.” Ram Charan Also talked to. And after that, unfortunately I was diagnosed with cancer and I had to go to the US.”
Makers waited for Shiv Rajkumar
after being diagnosed with cancer Shiva Rajkumar Was about to leave the film, but the makers refused. Shiv says, “But they waited for me. I thought, can we cancel it? But Buchi Babu said, ‘No, we need you.’ This is his goodness, he waited for me for a long time. I am very thankful to you, sir. This is a very sweet thing. A wonderful journey.”
Where did Shiv Rajkumar get the surgery done?
In December 2024, Shiv had surgery in a hospital in Miami, America. During the surgery, his cancerous bladder was removed and doctors created an artificial bladder using part of his intestine. In January 2025, he had said that he was scared even before the diagnosis of the disease, but the support of fans, family and doctors helped him a lot during this period. He had revealed in a podcast in February 2025 that he was shooting for the Kannada film ’45’ during his treatment.
What is the release date of Ram Charan’s film ‘Peddi’?
‘PeddiRam Charan is in the lead role. Janhvi Kapoor will also be seen with him in the film. Apart from these two, actors like Shiva, Boman Irani, Jagapati Babu, Divyendu and Kriti Shetty will also be seen in important roles in the film. The film will be of 3 hours 9 minutes i.e. total of 189 minutes. In the film, Ram Charan will be seen playing three sports including cricketer and wrestler. Peddi is set to release in theaters on June 4.
