Ajit Kumar His mother Mohini Mani died in Chennai at the age of 85 due to age related health problems. As soon as the news was received, Ajit Kumar immediately returned to Chennai from Dubai and joined the funeral preparations with the family. His mother was cremated at Besant Nagar Electric Crematorium in Chennai, where family members, close friends and many big faces from the film industry were present.

Actress Trisha Krishnan was also seen with him. It is being told that he met Ajit personally and expressed his condolences and encouraged the family.
