
After NEET, now there is a stir in Thane, Maharashtra due to the leak of question paper of TET exam. After which the examination has been cancelled. Actually, TET exam was to be held tomorrow, but news has confirmed that the question paper was leaked. The paper was leaked about 24 hours before the exam. It is being told that around 4 lakh candidates were going to appear in the examination, but it has been decided to cancel it. It is expected that a new date for the examination will be announced in the coming days.
Maharashtra State Council of Examination (MSCE), Pune has postponed the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2026 examination, which was scheduled to be held on June 28, 2026, till further orders. The Council gave press information that, the TET exam was to be conducted at 1,028 centers across the state. All necessary arrangements were made in view of the incidents of alleged paper leak during the NEET 2026 examination.
However, in the meantime, after receiving information, Bhiwandi police conducted a raid on Saturday morning. During investigation, some people were found to have questions similar to the TET 2026 paper.

After this, Maharashtra State Examination Council officials immediately investigated and confirmed that some questions matched the original exam paper. FIR has been registered in this case at Bhiwandi Police Station.
Exam postponed till June 28
The council has said that conducting the examination in a completely transparent and fair manner is its top priority. Therefore, the TET exam to be held on June 28, 2026 has been postponed until the matter is thoroughly investigated.
Police busy searching for those who leaked the paper
Now the new date of examination and other updates will be announced on the official website of Maharashtra State Examination Council. At present, after investigation of the leaked papers seized in Thane, it has been decided to cancel the examination scheduled to be held tomorrow. It is being said that the police has now started searching for those who leaked the paper. Big action may be taken in this matter soon.
TET paper was leaked from Kolhapur in 2025
About 4,28,000 candidates from Maharashtra were to appear for this examination. Due to paper leak, the future of these prospective teachers now hangs in balance. It is worth noting that earlier also incidents of paper leak had happened in the state. In 2025, a case of TET paper leak came to light from Kolhapur.
