Focus on nuclear deal… said Vance

Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Army Chief Asim Munir have reached Switzerland for talks on the Middle East war. The Prime Minister’s Office wrote on Twitter, “Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir will take part in high-level talks on the implementation of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding. He said this, referring to the US-Iran deal to end the war.
the path ahead is not easy
The biggest challenge facing the negotiators is the deteriorating security situation in Lebanon. Although Israel and Hezbollah agreed to a ceasefire earlier this week, both sides have accused each other of violations and new clashes have continued. Iran has repeatedly argued that any permanent agreement with the United States depends on an end to hostilities in Lebanon.
Another point of dispute is the Gulf of Hormuz, an important point of maritime blockage. Iran’s Revolutionary Guard claims the waterway has been closed in response to Israeli actions in Lebanon, while the US military says commercial shipping continues to pass through the strait.
Israel-Hezbollah conflict main agenda
Meanwhile, Iran has said that the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon will be at the top of the agenda in talks with the US in Switzerland.
“The issue of the Zionist regime breaking its promises in Lebanon will be the main topic of discussion in today’s talks,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Bakayi said in a video shared by the IRNA state news agency.
He further said, “The issue of making available Iran’s frozen or restricted assets, as well as discussions related to the issuance of licenses necessary for the sale of Iranian oil,” will also be on the agenda.
