June 17, 2026 by Uma Shankar

Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader and former Punjab cabinet minister Bikram Singh Majithia said on Tuesday (June 16) that every possible attempt was made to suppress his voice, but with the blessings of the Guru and the trust of the people, he foiled every conspiracy. His statement came after he got anticipatory bail from an Amritsar court.

After getting bail from the court, Bikram Singh Majithia released a video message. He thanked all the gurus.
He said that this is the victory of Guru Sahib’s immense grace, the prayers of the Sangat and the power of truth. In this video his attitude appeared as aggressive as before. He directly attacked the Aam Aadmi Party government of Punjab and the Chief Minister of the state Bhagwant Mann. He also said in a full tone that tell Ranga-Billa that the tiger is still alive, not dead.

‘Political intention behind the action’

Taking aim at political opponents, Majithia said that there were political intentions behind the allegations and action taken against him, but the court’s decision has answered many questions. He said that in the past he was targeted for political vendetta, false allegations were made, cases were filed and every possible effort was made to suppress his voice. He said that Guru Sahib’s mercy and people’s faith foiled every conspiracy.

‘This is the victory of the common people of Punjab’

The former minister said that today’s victory is not the victory of any one person, but of those lakhs of workers, youth, mothers, sisters and common people of Punjab who did not leave the truth despite oppression. He said that the voices of workers and common people were coming from every corner of Punjab. He said that today’s victory is first of all for those workers whose houses were raided, who were threatened, who were sued, whose families suffered.

Majithia said that he bows his head before each of his workers, because in difficult times, when many people step back, only the real comrades stand firm in the field. He said, ‘My workers have not only supported me but have supported truth and justice. History will bear witness to the fact that even during the times of oppression, he was neither afraid, nor bowed down nor sold out. He said that this fight was not only of Bikram Majithia. This is the fight of thousands of families who became victims of political vendetta, the fight of those youth whose voices were tried to be suppressed, and the fight of those Punjabis who are still standing in the hope of justice.

‘The struggle is not over yet, the fight will continue’

Majithia gave special thanks to the judiciary, courts and his legal team. He said that the court gave its verdict after hearing all the facts and arguments. He said that this decision proves that justice may be delayed, but justice is definitely delivered. He said that today he wants to give only one message to his workers and the people of Punjab that the struggle is not over yet. The fight to free Punjab from drugs, gangsterism, unemployment, farmer distress and political repression is still going on.

‘Tiger is still alive, not dead…’

At last Bikram Majithia said in a warning manner, tell Kiranga-Billa that the tiger is still alive, not dead. He said that some people thought that this voice would be silenced through lawsuits, jail and political vendetta. He said that I want to make it clear today that till my last breath, this voice will continue to be raised for Punjab, Punjabis, rights and truth.

He said, ‘Neither we had bowed down, nor will we bow down. Neither were we afraid, nor will we be afraid. I am indebted to the workers who stood with me and will continue to fight for their rights till my last breath. He said that Guru Sahib should always give him the strength to stand for the truth, keep raising voice against injustice and keep serving the people of Punjab. He said that truth can be suppressed, but cannot be defeated. Truth always wins.
