Janashakti Janata Dal (JJD) chief Tej Pratap Yadav was sent to jail for 14 days after appearing in the court late night. Actually, he had joined the protest with the protesters in Patna during ‘Bihar Bandh’ on Saturday against NEET paper leak. Shortly after Yadav joined the protesters during a sit-in at Ram Ghulam Chowk in Patna, he was taken into custody. When he was taken away in a police vehicle, Tej Pratap, in custody, said, “We stand shoulder to shoulder with the students. If need be, I am ready to sacrifice my life for the rights of the students.”

There was stone pelting in Patna

Officials said that on Saturday, members of leftist student organizations in several districts of Bihar demonstrated in support of the statewide bandh against the NEET paper leak and police action on protesting students and clashed with the police. According to the police, mixed effects of the bandh were seen across the state. Stone pelting took place in districts like Patna, while it had very little impact in Nalanda, Nawada, Jehanabad and Rohtas.

Deepke was appealed to come to Bihar
