KS Bharat Announces Retirement: Indian cricket team’s wicketkeeper-batsman Shrikar Bharat has said goodbye to international cricket at the age of just 32. Although his international career did not last very long, he played his role behind the wicket on some important occasions in Test cricket for Team India. Shrikar Bharat played his last Test match for Team India against England in the year 2024, since then he was struggling to make a place in the Indian team.

Shrikar Bharat announced his retirement

KS Bharat announced his retirement by sharing a post on social media. While retiring, KS Bharat specially thanked the two biggest captains of Indian cricket, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. He said that playing under the captaincy of these two greats and learning from them was the best experience of his career. According to Bharat, the support and guidance he received from these senior players in the dressing room will always be memorable for him.

KS Bharat wrote, ‘With pride, I announce my retirement from international cricket. Playing for my country has been the biggest honor of my life. This journey required a lot of patience and strength from me, but representing India in Test matches was worth every moment. Thank you to BCCI and all the coaches and management whom I met in my career and who supported me unconditionally. To all my teammates, I sincerely thank you for all the moments and achievements we shared together, who helped me in my career and without you all it would not have been possible for me to realize my dream and play this game for so many years.
