TCS-Infosys CEO also behind! HCLTech CEO gets a package of Rs 175 crore in FY26

HCLTech Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director C Vijayakumar received a total salary of USD 18.13 million (about Rs 175 crore) in the financial year 2025-26, which is about 66.9 percent more than the previous year. This information has come to light from the company’s annual report. Vijayakumar, who is based in the US and runs his wholly owned subsidiary HCL America Inc. The increase in his salary is mainly due to long-term incentives and stock options.

FY26 package in report

According to the annual report, his pay package for FY26 included a base salary of USD 2.48 million, performance-linked bonus of USD 2 million and benefits and perquisites worth USD 0.31 million. The majority of his salary came from the long-term incentive (LTI) cash component of USD 3.94 million and the purview value of restricted stock units (RSUs) exercised during the year which was USD 9.40 million. The report says that without taking into account LTI payment and vested value of RSUs, the CEO salary increases by 22.86 percent.

What is the salary of TCS-Infosys CEO?

Vijaykumar’s salary puts him at the top among his peers in the Indian IT sector. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) CEO and MD K Krittivasan received a total salary of Rs 28 crore in 2025-26, which is 6.3 percent more than last year.

Infosys’ Salil Parekh received a total salary of Rs 82.60 crore in FY 2025-26, which is 2 percent more than last year, while Wipro’s Srinivas Palliya received a total salary of USD 5.29 million (approximately Rs 49.64 crore).

Meanwhile, the annual report revealed that Vijaykumar’s salary was 291.9 times more than the median salary of HCLTech’s global workforce. The median salary of HCLTech employees saw an increase of 5.4 percent during the financial year. As of March 31, the company had 170,811 permanent employees. In addition, there were 56,370 employees in its subsidiary companies. In FY26, HCLTech reported a net profit of Rs 16,642 crore, down 4.30 per cent from Rs 17,390 crore in FY25. Revenue for FY26 increased by 11.18 percent to Rs 130,144 crore.
