
Bhopal’s famous Twisha Sharma death case has now reached the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has taken suo motu cognizance of this matter. Now a bench of three judges headed by Chief Justice Surya Kant can hear the hearing on Monday. Actually, Twisha’s family members have blamed her husband and in-laws living in Bhopal for her death. At the same time, there is a possibility of new revelations in the Twisha case with the recommendation of CBI investigation and permission for re-postmortem.
According to the information, a bench headed by Supreme Court Justice Surya Kant may consider this matter on Monday. After the Supreme Court took suo motu cognizance of the issue, an important hearing is expected to take place regarding the judicial investigation and legal aspects of the case. Apart from Chief Justice Surya Kant, this bench will also include Justice Joymalya Bagchi and Justice Vipul M Pancholi.
The Supreme Court can seek answers from the parties concerned in this matter. The Supreme Court has registered a suo motu case over alleged “institutional bias and procedural anomalies” in the unnatural death of a young woman at her in-laws house. Twisha’s family alleged that her husband and in-laws, including her mother-in-law, tried to mislead the investigation and influence the case. Her husband, Samarth Singh, is a lawyer and her mother-in-law, Giribala Singh, is a retired judge.
