The limit reached when his five children were never allowed to go to school. The children grew up confined within the four walls of the house. They neither got basic education nor any social life. According to the police, during this period the entire family was subjected to continuous physical and mental torture.

Finally one of Sylvie’s sons showed courage. He somehow escaped from the house, avoiding the eyes of the guards and went straight to the police station. Hearing his ordeal, the police immediately took action and freed the entire family from that dilapidated house.

The French Embassy is continuously monitoring this matter and the legal process to send Sylvie back to France has started. At the same time, Pakistani police has started legal action by registering a case of human rights violation and forced imprisonment against Sylvi’s husband and other people involved in this crime.
