This journey of Larry is no less than a film story. On 15 February 2011, he was rescued and brought here from an animal shelter called ‘Battersea Dogs and Cats Home’. Seeing his amazing hunting skills and ability to catch rats, he was recommended for this work. He became the first cat in the history of Downing Street to be officially awarded the royal title of ‘Chief Mouser to the Cabinet Office’. desperate to catch a glimpse
International media teams camp outside this door every day, desperate to catch a glimpse of Larry. The British public lovingly sends him countless treats and gifts.
