An incident of stone pelting took place during a program organized by Union Minister and Patron of HAM (Hindustan Awam Morcha) Jitan Ram Manjhi in Gayaji on Friday. Due to this incident the Union Minister could not deliver his speech and left from there. After the stone throwing incident, the police have detained two minor boys and they are being interrogated. On this incident, the party spokesperson said that if the attacks are not stopped, they will get a befitting reply.
Gaya Police informed about the incident that on Friday (May 22), Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi was present as the chief guest to honor the school children at St. Thomas English School located in Siswar village of Khizar Sarai block of Gayaji district. But during the program, three boys together picked up a stone kept on the newly constructed road behind the school boundary and threw it from the venue of the program.
Manjhi could not even give his speech
The program was disrupted due to stone throwing from the stage. ADPO and Sub-Divisional Officer, Neemchak Bathani and other police officers and personnel, who were already present in the program, took immediate action and two people were taken into custody. Continuous raids are being conducted to arrest other people. A case has been registered under various sections in Khizar Sarai police station regarding this incident and further action is also being taken.
SDPO Neemchak Bathani says that till now no information has been received about any casualty or injury due to throwing of pebbles from behind the stage.
However, it is being said that as Union Minister Manjhi reached the stage to deliver his speech, some people threw stones from behind from outside the venue. While Manjhi narrowly escaped this incident, the bodyguard standing behind him is reported to have been hit by a stone.

After this entire incident, politics has also started in the state. National Chief Spokesperson of HAM Party, Shyam Sundar Sharan issued a statement saying that the army of our leader Jitan Ram Manjhi is Monkey Army. The people sitting in the golden Lanka should not be under the illusion that they will be safe by attacking the boat. If this trend does not stop, if we continue to attack party leaders and workers, if RJD people continue to behave like this and the party leadership remains silent, then the answer will also come from this power.
